Jan Eric Schwarzer (born May 25, 1980 in Bielefeld ) is a former German racing cyclist .

Jan Eric Schwarzer comes from a cycling enthusiast family. His father drove as an amateur under the legendary national coach Gustav Kilian in the late 1960s . The son drove his first race at the age of eight. As a teenager he briefly turned to other sports - like basketball - but then went back to cycling. He was several times national champion of North Rhine-Westphalia in various disciplines.

In 2006, Schwarzer, who drives for the RV Teutoburg Brackwede, finished fifth at the German Stayer Championships in Leipzig. In 2007 in Nuremberg he became German stayer champion with pacemaker Christian Dippel ahead of Mario Vonhof (Schwabach) and Timo Scholz on the cycling track at Reichelsdorfer Keller . At the European Championship in Alkmaar in the same year he reached fifth place. In 2008, Schwarzer came third at the German Championship in Bielefeld and sixth at the European Standing Championship in Alkmaar. In 2009, Schwarzer finished third at the German Standing Championship at the Leipzig cycling track and fourth at the Standing European Championship in Forst (Lausitz) . At the German Stayer Championships 2010 at the Andreasried cycling track in Erfurt , he took fourth place. In 2011 he reached second place at the German Standing Championships in Leipzig. At the German Standing Championships in 2013 in Bielefeld, he again finished fourth. In 2010 he was a member of the Sparkasse team racing community .

Jan Eric Schwarzer studied at the German Sport University until September 2009 and graduated as a qualified sports scientist. He lives in Sineu on Mallorca ( Spain ) and has been running a hotel for cyclists there since the spring of 2011, which has established itself as a contact point for cyclists of all levels as well as well-known professionals. In 2018 he organized the first gravel bike event on Mallorca with Toros de Gravel .
