Stręgielek ( German  Klein Strengeln ) is a place in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship . He belongs to the rural community Pozezdrze (Possesern , 1938 to 1945 large garden) in the powiat Węgorzewski ( Angerburg district ).

Geographical location

Stręgielek is located east of the Jezioro Stręgielek ( Polish Klein Strengelner See ) in the northeast of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship . It is ten kilometers to the northwest to the district town of Węgorzewo (Angerburg) .

history

Which at the time Klein Strengeln called village was with the district Vorwerk 1874 Natalienhof (Polish, not Golikowo existent) in the District Przerwanken integrated, the - before 1907 in "District Wiesental" renamed - existed until 1945 and for district Angerburg in Administrative district Gumbinnen the Prussian Province of East Prussia belonged.

In 1910, 346 residents were registered in Klein Strengeln. Their number remained the same until 1925, rising to 358 by 1933 and still totaling 349 in 1939.

As a result of the war, Klein Strengeln came to Poland in 1945 with all of southern East Prussia and since then has borne the Polish name form "Stręgielek". The place is the seat of a Schulzenamt ( Polish sołectwo ) as a place in the network of the rural community Pozezdrze (Possessern , 1938 to 1945 Großgarten) in the powiat Węgorzewski ( Angerburg district ), before 1998 part of the Suwałki Voivodeship , since then it has belonged to the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship .
