Timothy "Tim" Jackman (born November 14, 1981 in Minot , North Dakota ) is a former American ice hockey player who played 492 games for the Columbus Blue Jackets , Phoenix Coyotes , Los Angeles Kings during his active career between 1999 and 2016 , New York Islanders , Calgary Flames and Anaheim Ducks in the National Hockey League on the position of right winger .
Career
Tim Jackman began his career as a hockey player with the Twin City Vulcans , for which he was active in the United States Hockey League in the 1999/2000 season . The attacker then played for Minnesota State University, Mankato for two years . During this time, he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft 2001 in the second round as a total of 38th player from the Columbus Blue Jackets . While Jackman was in the 2002/03 season exclusively for Columbus' farm team from the American Hockey League , the Syracuse Crunch , on the ice, he made his debut in the National Hockey League for the Blue Jackets the following season . During the lockout in the 2004/05 NHL season , Jackman was again on the ice exclusively for Syracuse.
In October 2005, Jackman and Geoff Sanderson were transferred from Columbus to the Phoenix Coyotes , who in turn gave up Cale Hulse , Michael Rupp and Jason Chimera . In Phoenix, however, he could not prevail. After only eight games in the NHL for the Coyotes, the winger was given to the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for Yanick Lehoux shortly before the end of the trade deadline . In a little over a year, Jackman came to only five missions for the Kings, which is why his contract was not extended and he signed a contract with the New York Islanders as a free agent in the summer of 2007 . In July 2010, he signed a contract with the Calgary Flames .
After three years in Calgary, Jackman joined the Anaheim Ducks in November in exchange for a six-round draft pick in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft . These gave him to their farm team, the San Diego Gulls , in November 2015 , before he was transferred to the Chicago Blackhawks in February 2016, including a seven-round vote for the 2017 NHL Entry Draft . In return, the Ducks received Corey Tropp , while Jackman was loaned directly back to the San Diego Gulls by the Blackhawks.
In August 2016, Jackman announced the end of his playing career.
