Touraine-Amboise is a wine-growing region in the Loire region (wine-growing region) . The approx. 240 hectare area is distributed on both sides of the Loire in the municipalities of Amboise , Cangey , Chargé , Limeray , Montreuil-en-Touraine , Mosne , Nazelle-Négron , Pocé-sur-Cisse , Saint-Ouen-les-Vignes and Saint-Règle within the department Indre-et-Loire . Touraine-Amboise is about 25 kilometers east of Tours .

The Touraine-Amboise area has had the status of an Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC for short) since December 24, 1939 (last amendment of the decree on August 2, 2005 ).
