history

In 1251 the place was first mentioned in a document as "Ugenowe". The place originally consisted of 5 whole courtyards. In the Urbar of Burgraviate of Nuremberg of the year 1410 was for "V e recorded genaw" just a farm. The other farms were subordinate to foreign masters. In the succession of the burgraves, the place came to the Principality of Ansbach . In the Salbuch of 1434, in addition to the one farm that was under the Schwabach caste office , two foreign-owned Seldengüter were listed. In 1530 there was a farm and 5 foreign noble estates. Two of these goods were then subordinate to the Schwabach Hospital and the Frauentraut Foundation in Schwabach in 1623 . In 1732, according to Johann Georg Vetter's senior office descriptions, the Forsthof belonged to the community of Uigenau .

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 8 properties and a community shepherd's house in Uigenau. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach Oberamt Schwabach . The caste office Schwabach held the village and community rulership. Landlords were the Principality of Ansbach (Kastenamt Schwabach: 1 Viertelhöf, 1 Köblergut ; Spital Schwabach: 1 Ganzhof, 1 Halbhof; Frauentraut'sche Foundation: 2 Halbhöfe) and Nuremberg owners ( from the landlord : 1 Viertelhof; from Orte : 1 Halbhof). In 1802 there were 7 properties in the village, 5 of which were subordinate to the Schwabach Chamber of Commerce and 2 were from Nuremberg.

As part of the municipal edict, Uigenau was assigned to the Kammerstein tax district in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community Kammerstein formed in 1818 . On November 15, 1924, Uigenau was reclassified to Schwabach.
