The 16th Vuelta a España was a cycling race that was held from April 26th to May 11th, 1960. The stage race consisted of 17 sections with a total length of 2796.5 kilometers. The winner was the Spaniard Angelino Soler . The points classification was also secured by a Spaniard in Antonio Suárez . The mountain stage won, just as it did in the previous year, the Spaniard Antonio Karmany . The team competition was won by Team Faema , also from Spain, and the Spaniard Vicente Iturat won the Meta Volantes classification for the fourth time in a row.
