The 14th Vuelta a España was a cycling race that was held from April 24 to May 10, 1959. The stage race consisted of 18 sections with a total length of 3,033 kilometers. The winner was the Spaniard Antonio Suárez , who also won the mountain classification . The points classification secured the Belgian Rik Van Looy . The team competition was won by the Faema team, also from Belgium, and the Spaniard Vicente Iturat won the Meta Volantes classification for the second time in a row.
