WS McCormack

William Samuel McCormack (born November 10, 1863 in Chicago , Illinois , † September 5, 1946 on the way to California ) was an American politician . From 1925 to 1929 he was lieutenant governor of the state of Montana .

Little information is available about McCormack. All that is known is that he lived in Kalispell in Montana. There he was a farmer and businessman. Politically, he became a member of the Republican Party , for which he was also a member of the House of Representatives from Montana . In 1924 he was elected lieutenant governor of Montana alongside John Edward Erickson . He held this office from 1925 to 1929. So he was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate . The latter function held every lieutenant governor of Montana from 1889 to 1972; then the two offices were separated.
