George M. Gosman

George M. Gosman (born October 19, 1893 in Lima , Beaverhead County , Montana , †  September 1, 1981 in Dillon , Montana) was an American politician . Between 1953 and 1957 he was lieutenant governor of the state of Montana.

Nothing is known about George Gosman's youth and schooling. There is also no information in the sources about his career outside of politics. During World War I he served in the United States Army . Politically, he was a member of the Republican Party . Between 1945 and 1951 he sat in the Montana Senate . In 1952 he was elected lieutenant governor of his state at the side of J. Hugo Aronson . He held this office between 1953 and 1957. He was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate. After his time as Lieutenant Governor, he was no longer politically active. He died on September 1, 1981 in Dillon, where he was also buried.
