Frank A. Hazelbaker

Frank A. Hazelbaker (born January 15, 1878 in Mound City , Kansas , † July 6, 1939 ) was an American politician . Between 1929 and 1933 he was lieutenant governor of the state of Montana .

Career

The sources on Frank Hazelbaker are very poor. He came to Montana from Kansas around 1897 , where he settled in the city of Dillon . There he graduated from the State Normal School . Later he worked first as a teacher and then in trade. At the same time he embarked on a political career as a member of the Republican Party . Between 1921 and 1929 he was a member of the Montana Senate .

In 1928 Hazelbaker was elected Lieutenant Governor of Montana alongside John Edward Erickson . He held this office between 1929 and 1933. He was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate. In 1932 and 1936 he ran unsuccessfully for governor. After that his track is lost. His son Frank , born in 1912 , also became a politician and belonged to both chambers of the Montana Legislature .
