She made her film debut at DEFA in 1949 (while she was still studying) as the Jewish girl Ruth Levin in the family epic Die Buntkarierte . Later in her career, Kramm was rarely used in leading roles at DEFA; she mostly took on prominent supporting roles. She often played in children's films , in which she often played the mother role.
She also became known through appearances in numerous television series , including the crime series Blaulicht , Polizeiruf 110 (so in 1988 as Mrs. Schröder in the episode The Crossword Puzzle ) and The Public Prosecutor has the floor .
After the Second World War , Kramm resumed her work as a radio spokesperson; for almost 30 years she played the role of the "Little Penny" in the children's radio series From the Butzemannhaus .

Alongside Genia Lapuhs as Queen, she spoke the title role in the radio play Snow White for the record label Litera in 1964 ; In 1965 she took on the role of Rosenrot in the fairy tale radio play Schneeweißchen und Rosenrot . In the 1976 literary radio play Huckleberry Finn , she played the role of Mary Jane Wilks, one of the attractive daughters of the wealthy Peter Wilks.
Kramm has also worked as a voice actress several times . In the classic fairy tale film Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella , she played the role of housekeeper and cook Rosi in the GDR dubbed version; she lent her voice to the Czechoslovak actress Míla Myslíková .
