The coat of arms of Kuwait was adopted in 1963. It shows a circular emblem with a at the rear with the Kuwaiti flag provided Dau against white clouds and a blue sky that goes on blue and white wavy lines. Above it is the state name Dawlat al-Kuwait on a white banner in black  /دولة الكويت / 'State of Kuwait'. A light brown falcon with brown and white feathers surrounds the emblem in a circle. There is a shield with the national flag on his chest.

The dhow is a symbol of the country's maritime tradition and can also be found in the national coats of arms of Qatar and the United Arab Emirates . The Quraish falcon is a symbol of the Koreishite tribe , to which the Prophet Mohammed belonged, and can also be found in many coats of arms of the Arabian Peninsula.

The coat of arms replaced an older emblem with a falcon and two crossed flags.
