history

After other Arab states had also adopted flags, it took a few years before other state symbols were created. First, the Bahrain Sheikdom introduced a coat of arms. It was designed in the 1930s by the British advisor to the then Emir of Bahrain , Sir Charles Belgrave . Belgrave, the last British adviser to the ruler, reduced the flag's peaks from eight to three.
