description

The Brunei national coat of arms is also depicted on the Brunei flag .

The coat of arms has five main components:

  1. the flag that forms the end of a mast at the top,
  2. the royal umbrella underneath,
  3. the wings under the umbrella,
  4. the hand to the right and left of it and
  5. a crescent.

The motto of Brunei is written in Arabic on the crescent moon :

الدائمون المحسنون بالهدى ad-dāʾimūn al-muḥsinūn bi'l-hudā , Malay " Selalu memberi pelayanan dengan bimbingan Tuhan " , German eternal service under the guidance (of God) .

Below the crescent is a scroll with the name of the nation in Arabic script:
