"In a stylized silver golden Straucheibischblüte , in a red-blue Taegeuk , surrounded by an open-topped silver crest Banner , in the bottom of the silver blue lettering of the state name in Hangeulschrift "

"대한민국"
( Daehan Minguk )
( Republic of Korea )

The Taegeuk ( Great Polarity ) is the circle that symbolizes Yin and Yang and also adorns the South Korean flag . The hibiscus ( mugunghwa , Hangeul : 무궁화) is the national flower of South Korea.
