Coat of arms 1992–1993

The coat of arms of Tajikistan has existed in its current form since 1993. It is a modified version of the coat of arms of the Tajik SSR , which was used until the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991 .

Blazon

The crown in the middle of the coat of arms is the same as that found on the flag of Tajikistan . - Above the crown, seven equally large golden stars are arranged in a semicircle above a rising sun, these symbolize the Holy Spirit and six guardian spirits (the cattle , fire , metal , earth , water and plants ).

An open book is shown in the lower part of the coat of arms. Above it is the stylized representation of the Pamir mountains , behind which the sun rises.

The coat of arms is framed on the left by a cotton plant and on the right by ears of wheat , each decorated with a ribbon in the colors of the flag of Tajikistan.
