Westmiomaffo ( Indonesian Miomaffo Barat ) is an Indonesian district ( kecamatan ) in the west of the island of Timor .

geography

The district belongs to the administrative district of North Central Timor ( Timor Tengah Utara ) of the East Nusa Tenggara Province . To the west lies the Mutis district , to the north the districts Bikomi Nilulat and Musi and the East Timorese exclave Oe-Cusse Ambeno , to the east the districts of Central Bikomi ( Bikomi Tengah ) and Noimuti and to the south the administrative district of South Central Timor with the districts of Tobu and Poland .

West Miomaffo is divided into ten Desa and two Kelurahan :

The border line to the East Timorese exclave Oe-Cusse Ambeno has not been fully clarified near the village of Manusasi. The Indonesian village claims the fertile area around Mount Bisae Súnan , which maps are located on the other side of the border. The East Timorese village of Haemnanu holds against it. The conflict was smoldering as early as the 1960s.
