Musi is a district ( Kecamatan ) of the Indonesian administrative district ( Indonesian Kabupaten ) of North Central Timor (Timor Tengah Utara) in the province of East Nusa Tenggara (Nusa Tenggara Timur) on the island of Timor . The administrative headquarters are in Oeolo .

Musi is located in the west of the administrative district of North Central Timor. Musi divides the Bikomi Nilulat district into two territories north and west of Musi. In the north-east is the district Ostbikomi (Bikomi Timur) , to the east the districts Südbikomi (Bikomi Selatan) and Zentralmiomaffo (Miomaffo Tengah) and the Southwest District Westmiomaffo (Miomaffo Barat) . In the west Musi borders on Oe-Cusse Ambeno , the exclave of the neighboring state of East Timor and its administrative office Passabe . Musi has an area of 82.17 km². The entire territory is above an altitude of 700 m . 185 hectares are built on, 21,195 hectares are forested.
The district is divided into six villages ( Desa in Indonesian ): Oelneke , Oetulu , Ainan , Oeolo , Bisafe and Batnes .
The climate is determined by rainy and dry seasons.
Residents
In 2016, 4,384 people (2,109 men and 2,275 women) lived in 1,267 households in the district. In 2016 there were 101 births and 33 deaths in the district. 515 residents were 0 to 4 years old, 71 were 75 years or older. Most of the people live in Desa Oeolo (1,179 inhabitants).
4,373 people profess the Catholic faith and 11 people are Protestants. There is a Catholic church each in Oelneke, Oetulu and Oeolo.
Public facilities
There are six elementary schools, two junior high schools, and one senior high school in the district with a total of 103 teachers. 16 health facilities are available for medical care.
Economy and Infrastructure
In 2015, rice was grown on 240 hectares in the district and 530 tons were harvested. A harvest of 1,045 tons of maize was achieved on 500 hectares and 2,851 tons of cassava were harvested on 275 hectares. The fruits harvested in 2016 were avocados (1.5 tons), mangoes (100.5 tons), oranges (21.6 tons), papayas (393.2 tons), bananas (336.2 tons), pineapples (21.0 tons) Tons) and jackfruit (65.0 tons). Other agricultural products include coconuts, coffee, pecans, cashews, cocoa, cloves, vanilla and pepper. In total there are 7,852 hectares of arable land in the district. In 2016, the farm animals kept 2,239 cattle, 281 goats, 2,355 pigs and 4,568 chickens.
43 people work in 29 craft or small industrial companies. These are companies from the textile, leather and wood industries. There are also 38 small traders in the district. Other service providers in the district are two copy shops and six tire dealers.
Public transport is made up of eleven trucks, 13 minibuses (Mikrolet) and 47 motorcycles.
