Central Bikomi ( Indonesian Bikomi Tengah ) is an Indonesian district ( Kecamatan ) in the west of the island of Timor .

The district is located in the west of the administrative district of North Central Timor (Timor Tengah Utara) of the East Nusa Tenggara Province (Nusa Tenggara Timur) . In the north, Central Bikomi borders on the districts of Nordbikomi (Bikomi Utara) and East Miomaffo (Miomaffo Timur) , in the east on Kefamenanu , in the south on Südbimkomi (Bikiomi Selatan) and Musi and in the west on Bikomi Nilulat . In the northwest, Central Bikomi extends as far as the Oe-Cusse Ambeno exclave belonging to the state of East Timor .
Central Bikomi has an area of 61.5 km² and is divided into the nine Desa Nimasi , Kuanek , Buk , Oelbonak , Oenenu , Südoenenu (Oenenu Selatan) , Nordoenenu (Oenenu Utara) , Oenino and Sono . The administrative headquarters are in Oenenu. The territory is largely located at an altitude between 300 m and 600 m . As usual in Timor, the climate is divided into a rainy season and a dry season from June to September .
Residents
In 2017, 7,261 people lived in Central Bikomi. 3,597 are men, 3,664 are women. The population density is 118.06 people per square kilometer. 6,834 people profess the Catholic faith and 427 are Protestants.
politics
The head of the district has been Mateus T, Bota, since June 2014. From June 30, 2008 to May 2009 this was Vinsensius Lake and from May 2009 to June 2014 Yosefina ALM Lake.
Economy, infrastructure and transport
Most of the district's residents make a living from agriculture. Cattle (2,114), pigs (1,104), goats (683), chickens (6,701) and ducks (15) are kept as pets. Corn is grown on 575 hectares, cassava on 170 hectares and peanuts on 6 hectares. Mustard, chilli, tomatoes and water spinach (kangkung) are also grown.
There are nine elementary schools, two middle schools and one secondary school in Central Bikomi.
There are 320 motorcycles and 21 motor vehicles registered in the district. Public transport is operated by 20 pick-ups and 200 motorcycles.
