Wireless Festival
The Wireless Festival is a music festival that takes place annually in Finsbury Park in London . In 2006 and 2007 the festival took place at Harewood House in Leeds . The festival has existed since 2005 and has around 60,000 visitors every year. The festival takes place over a period of three days. The festival was sponsored by the telecommunications company O 2 between 2005 and 2008 . Barclays has been the main sponsor since 2008 . The festival will take place on a total of four stages.
history
2005
The first festival was held in Hyde Park in June 2005. A ticket for a festival day cost the equivalent of € 43. New Order, Basement Jaxx, Keane and Kasabian headlined it.
2006
In 2006 the festival was held at two venues. Hyde Park played June 21-25, while Harewood House played bands June 24-25. Tickets were available from € 35.
2007
In 2007 the festival was held at two venues. Hyde Park played from June 14th to 17th, while Harewood House played bands from June 15th to 17th. This time cards could also be bought for several days. A day pass was € 49. There were also camping opportunities for the first time. Guests could camp the whole festival on the grounds of the Harewood House for € 27.
2008
In 2008 Hyde Park was the only event location. At the same time, it was the last festival that was sponsored by O 2 . The festival took place from July 3rd to 6th.
2017
From June 24 to 25, 2017, the Wireless Festival took place for the first time in Germany in the Commerzbank-Arena , Frankfurt. Justin Bieber and The Weeknd were headliners . Other acts were Marteria , Beginner , Freundeskreis , Rag 'n' Bone Man , Sean Paul , Jess Glynne and Dat Adam .
