Zagarise is an Italian city in the province of Catanzaro in Calabria with 1526 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019).

Location and dates

Zagarise is located 28 km north of Catanzaro in the valley of the Simeri River . The neighboring communities are Albi , Magisano , Mesoraca ( KR ), Petronà , Sellia , Sellia Marina , Sersale , Soveria Simeri and Taverna .

Attractions

The parish church of Santa Maria Assunta has a portal from 1521, the rest of the church was rebuilt in 1783. There is a medieval tower in the village.
