Falerna is an Italian municipality in the province of Catanzaro in Calabria with 3907 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019).

Location and dates

Falerna is 58 km west of Catanzaro on the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea . The districts are Castiglione Marittimo, Falerna Scalo and Falerna Centro Capoluogo. The neighboring municipalities are Gizzeria , Lamezia Terme , Nocera Terinese .

Attractions

The place is a seaside resort on the Tyrrhenian Sea . In the vicinity of the place there are ruins of a castle and the remains of a monastery. A fresco can be seen in the ruins of the monastery .
