Life

Wrestling career

Çamsulvara Çamsulvarayev started wrestling in 1999. He concentrated on the free style. From those years it is not known which club he belonged to and who coached him. But he fought his way into the Russian elite of welterweight freestyle wrestlers until 2005 and took 3rd place at the Russian welterweight championship behind Arsen Gitinow and Jamaluddin Aliyev. In the same year he was also used in the so-called "Supercup", a comparison of the national teams of the United States and Russia. In Colorado Springs he lost it in the middleweight division against the American Mo Lawal on points.

No results are known from him for 2006. From the beginning of 2007 he started for Azerbaijan . There he belonged to the sports club Neftçi Baku and was trained by Məhəmməd Qacıyev and Firdovsi Umudov. The change was probably made to avoid the strong competition in Russia in his weight class with Buwaissar Saitijew , Makhach Murtasalijew and Irbek Farnijew . Because of this competition, he had not come to any further appearances at the international championships in Russia.

For Azerbaijan he started for the first time at the European Championship 2007 in Sofia . He made a successful debut there, because after an opening defeat against Machach Murtasalijew he won over Edgaras Vojtechovskis from Lithuania and Michail Ganew from Bulgaria and won a bronze medal . He also took 3rd place at the World Championships in Baku that same year . He lost there against Emzarios Bedinidis from Greece and defeated Joseph Heskett from the United States in the battle for 3rd place .

At the European Championships in Tampere in 2008 he came in 3rd place in the welterweight division. He succeeded there after a hard fight (2: 1 rounds, 13: 9 technical points) u. a. a victory over the German starter Andriy Shyyka . After a defeat against Machach Murtasalijew, he defeated the former world champion Ibrahim Aldatow from Ukraine in the fight for 3rd place . At the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008 Çamsulvara Çamsulvarayev lost in his first fight against Murad Hajdarau from Belarus , although he scored more technical points than this one (1: 2 rounds and 4: 3 technical points), because ultimately only the won one for a victory Number of laps is decisive. Since Hajdarau lost his next fight and was eliminated, Çamsulvara Çamsulvarayev did not get into the consolation round and was also eliminated. In the final accounts he only came in 15th place, which was disappointing for him.

In 2009 Çamsulvarayev was European welterweight champion with four wins in Vilnius . He beat the French Luca Lampis, Andriy Shyyka again, Kiril Tersiew from Bulgaria and Fırat Binici from Turkey . At the World Championships in Herning / Denmark he won four and met in the final against the Russian newcomer Denis Zargusch , whom he met with 0: 3 techn. Points and lost 2 rounds. He became vice world champion in 2009.

In 2010 Çamsulvara Çamsulvarayev was not quite as successful as in 2009. At the European Championships in Baku he lost in the semifinals to Kiril Tersiew from Bulgaria, but won a European Championship bronze medal with a victory over Georg Harth from Germany . At the World Championships in Moscow he defeated Dušan Babrnák from Slovakia in his first fight, but lost in his second fight against former world champion Iván Fundora from Cuba . Since he did not reach the final, Çamsulvara Çamsulvarayev did not get into the consolation round and had to be content with 16th place.

Islamism

Çamsulvarayev is said to have been radicalized by his mother-in-law Karina and became a member of the Islamic State terrorist militia . Within the IS, he is said to have been responsible for recruiting young girls who were to be trained to be suicide bombers. Diana Ramasanova, who blew herself up in front of a police station in Istanbul in January 2015 and was already the widow of an IS terrorist, is said to have been one of his students. According to other sources, it was his mother-in-law herself who was involved in the attack in Istanbul. Çamsulvarayev was killed by a US drone near Mosul, Iraq, in September 2016 .
