Ibrahim Aldatow

Ibrahim Erikowitsch Aldatow ( Russian Ибрагим Алдатов Ibragim Aldatow , Ukrainian Ібрагім Алдатов / Ibrahim Aldatow; born November 4, 1983 in Brut near Beslan , North Ossetian ASSR , Russian SFSR , Soviet Ringer of Ukrainian descent ) is a . He was welterweight world champion in 2006 and middleweight in 2013 , both in free style.

Career

Ibrahim Aldatow grew up in the to Russia belonging North Ossetia and started there in 1996 as a teenager with the rings. He developed exceptional talent for this sport and was trained by coaches Valentin Geschojew and Arthur Baschajew to become a world-class athlete in free style. He is also well known in German wrestling circles because he has been wrestling for KSV Köllerbach in the German Bundesliga since the 2012/13 season .

In 1999 he was the first North Ossetian champion and in the following years won several wrestling tournaments in North Ossetia, Dagestan and the Ukraine . Since he saw no opportunity in Russia due to the strong competition to get into the national team of freestyle wrestlers, he went to Ukraine and was based in Kharkov . There he was or will be by Elbrus Tedejew , Juri Teleschin u. Ruslan Saklochow trains. He made his first start at an international championship for Ukraine in 2006 at the world championship in Guangzhou, China . As an almost unknown wrestler, he immediately created a surprise and became world champion with five wins . In his last two decisive fights he defeated Michail Ganew from Bulgaria with 9: 0 points and Ali Ashgar Bazrighaleh from Iran with 9: 1 points.

At the European Championships in Sofia in 2007 he won the welterweight division over the Hungarian Gábor Hatos , but lost in his next fight against the Greeks Emzarios Bentinidis with 2: 6 points. Since Bentinidis did not reach the final, Aldatow did not get into the so-called consolation round and landed in 12th place in the final accounts. Much more successful he was again at this year's World Cup in Baku . After four victories he reached the final against his compatriot Machatsch Murtasalijew , who started for Russia and was defeated by 2: 3 points in a tough battle. With that he became vice world champion. In the same year there was a battle between the Russian and Ukrainian armed forces for a rematch against Murtasalijew, which Ibragim Aldatow won on points.

At the European Championships in 2008 in Tampere Ibragim Aldatow met in his first fight again on Makhach Murtasalijew and lost with 1: 4 points relatively clear. Murtasalijew then reached the final and so Ibragim Aldatow got the chance to fight his way up to the so-called small final, in which it was about the bronze medal. In this he was defeated by Tschamsulwara Tschamsulwarajew from Azerbaijan on points and took 5th place.

At the 2009 European Championships in Vilnius , he started in the middleweight division for the first time and won a silver medal in this new weight class. At the 2010 World Cup in Moscow he was defeated in the semifinals against the 2009 world champion Sajurbek Sochijew from Uzbekistan after winning three fights and was defeated by the Cuban Reineris Salas Perez in the battle for the bronze medal . In 2011 Ibragim Aldatow reached the European Championships in Dortmund with a win and a loss against Sharif Sharifow from Azerbaijan only the 11th place. At the World Cup in Istanbul he was in excellent shape again. He defeated there middleweight Piotr Ianulow, Amarhadschi Magomedow, Belarus , Dato Marsagishvili , Georgia and Armands Zvirbulis , Latvia . Only in the final battle did he lose against Sharif Sharifov just on points (0: 2 rounds, 0: 3 points) and was thus runner-up again.

Because of the preparation for the Olympic Games in London, he was not at the start of the European Championships in 2012. At the games in London he met former world champion Sajurbek Sochijew from Uzbekistan in the first round, whom he was able to defeat on points (2: 1 rounds, 7: 6 points). In his second fight he faced the Russian master Ansor Urischow. Against this he lost on points. But since Urischow did not reach the final, Ibragim Aldatow was eliminated and took 9th place.

In 2013 he also took part in the European Championships, which took place in Tbilisi. There he defeated Magomedhadschi Khatiev, Azerbaijan, then lost to Musa Murtasalijew from Armenia. Since this came into the final, he was able to continue in the consolation round, in which he secured a bronze medal with victories over Michael Bodnar from Slovakia and Piotr Ianulow from Moldova. In September 2013 he achieved another great success at the World Championships in Budapest. In Budapest he defeated Jewgeni Soltruk, Estonia, István Veréb, Hungary, Musa Murtasalijew, Murad Gaidarow, Belarus and in the final Reineris Salas Peres from Cuba, whom he knocked off the mat after 4:19 minutes with technical superiority and was seven years old after winning the first world champion title for the second time world champion.

Ibragim Aldatow belongs to the Ukrainian army and is a member of CSKA Charkow, but, like almost all top wrestlers in the successor states of the Soviet Union , is practically a professional wrestler.
