Roman Empire / Imperium Galliarum
- Imperial crisis of the 3rd century : Palmyra , which was subjugated in the previous year, rises again against Rome under Apsaeus . First, the governor of Mesopotamia Marcellinus is to be proclaimed anti-emperor. However, he refuses and betrays the uprising to Emperor Aurelian . In Palmyra, Septimius Antiochus is then proclaimed anti-emperor. Aurelian conquers the city again with the help of Legio III Italica and razes it to the ground.
