462nd People's Grenadier Division
The October 19, 1944 was a German infantry division in World War II . The division was set up on October 19, 1944 as the 462nd Infantry Division . In October 1944 the division was renamed the 462nd Volksgrenadier Division . The division was destroyed in fighting in the Metz - Diedenhofen area in northern Lorraine in November 1944 .
