584th People's Grenadier Division

The 584th Volksgrenadier Division was a major combat unit of the German Wehrmacht during World War II .

Mission history

The division was set up in Esbjerg , Denmark , in the 32nd wave of formation in early 1944 . Most of the staff comes from the Dennewitz shadow division . Still in the formation phase, the division was renamed on October 13, 1944 into the not yet established 9th People's Grenadier Division .
