581st People's Grenadier Division

The 581st Volksgrenadier Division was a major combat unit of the German Wehrmacht during World War II .

Mission history

The division was set up on August 25, 1944 in the 32nd wave of deployment in the Flensburg area. Still in the formation phase, the division was renamed on September 21, 1944 into the not yet established 352nd People's Grenadier Division .
