The 246th Volksgrenadier Division (short: 246th VGD ) was a German infantry division in World War II . The division was set up on September 15, 1944 at the Milowitz military training area northeast of Prague in Bohemia by renaming the 565th Volksgrenadier Division . Then the division was used in the Ardennes offensive. On May 8, 1945, the 18th Volksgrenadier Division surrendered near Eberbach .
