569th People's Grenadier Division

The 569th Volksgrenadier Division was a major combat unit of the German Wehrmacht in World War II .

Mission history

The division was set up on August 25, 1944 in the 32nd wave of deployment at the Königsbrück military training area. Still in the formation phase, the division was renamed on September 17, 1944 in the not yet established 361st Infantry Division .
