548th Grenadier Division

The 548th Grenadier Division was a German infantry division during World War II . The division was set up in Lithuania on July 11, 1944 . On October 9, 1944, the division was renamed the 548th Volksgrenadier Division . The division fought in East Prussia and was destroyed in the Samland in the Pillau - Königsberg area in February / March 1945.
