46664 (Nelson Mandela)
46664 is a worldwide campaign by the Nelson Mandela Foundation to raise awareness about AIDS and encourage people to fight the disease. "466/64" was Nelson Mandela's inmate number on Robben Island prison (the 466th prisoner arrested in 1964). The campaign, which has been active since 2002, has mainly attracted attention with the organization of large music festivals.
Regarding the choice of the motto, Mandela said:
“466/64 was my prisoner number for 18 years when I was a prisoner on Robben Island. I was only known as a number. Today millions of (HIV) infected people are exactly that: a number! "
