A212 (Russia)

The A 212 is a trunk road in the Russian Oblast of Pskov . It leads from the Estonian border in a north-easterly direction to Pskow . It is part of the European route 77 , the northern section of which leads from Kaliningrad (Russia) via Šiauliai ( Lithuania ) and Riga to Pskow, where it meets the European route 95 and the Russian trunk road M 20 . It thus serves to connect the Russian exclave Kaliningrad and the southern Baltic region to the north-west of Russia with the metropolis of Saint Petersburg .

Attractions

The fortress Stary Isborsk, which was built between 1302 and 1330, is located on the A 212. About 5 km north of the road, in Senno near Nowy Isborsk, is the church of St. George from 1562. The town of Pskov offers other historical sights.
