The R119 near Lipetsk |
The R119 ( Russian Р119 ) is a trunk road of federal importance in Russia . The 395 km long road connects the administrative centers of the Oryol , Lipetsk and Tambov oblasts in central Russia .
The R119 is a cross-connection running in a west-east direction between the federal highways M2 Krym , M4 Don and R22 Kaspi (formerly M6) leading from Moscow to southern Russia consists of the R92 to Kaluga and the R120 towards Bryansk and Smolensk , and passes several district administrative centers in the eastern part of the oblast, including the town of Livny . In Lipetsk Oblast, the road passes the three largest cities in the area,Lipetsk , Jelets and Gryazi . In the oblast it crosses the Don and its major tributaries, Bystraja Sosna and Voronezh . The R119 finally reaches the R22 about 15 km west of Tambov , where there is also a connection to the R193 to Voronezh and the R208 to Penza .
The entire length of the R119 is asphalted and mostly has two lanes, while in the larger cities (such as Orjol, Jelez, Lipezk) it is four lanes. Most of the larger towns are bypassed on bypass roads.
