The A240 is a trunk road of federal importance in Russia . It leads from the Russian Bryansk in a westerly direction to the Belarusian border.

The street was given the number A240 in 2010. Before that, it was numbered M13. Until 1991 the M13 was part of the Soviet highway network and continued on the territory of the Belarusian Soviet Republic via Homel to Kobryn , where it merged with the M1 . Today's continuation of the A240 on Belarusian territory is the M10 .
