A149 (Russia)

The A149 is a trunk road of federal importance in the Russian region of Krasnodar in the Caucasus . With a length of 39 km, it is one of the shortest on the Russian trunk road network. It leads in the urban area of Sochi from the A147 (formerly M27) ​​in the Adler district on the Black Sea coast up into the mountains to Krasnaya Polyana .

The road was given the number A149 in 2010. Before that, it had the number A148 , which was also assigned to the Sochier City Motorway (Dubljor Kurortnowo prospekta), which was under construction . The expansion of the former regional road A148, its renumbering and making it a federal trunk road took place in connection with the preparations for the hosting of the 2014 Winter Olympics by Sochi.
