The Autocesta A6 ( Croatian for 'motorway A6'), also called Primorsko-goranska autocesta , is a Croatian motorway . It belongs to the private motorway company Autocesta Rijeka - Zagreb dd (ARZ) and runs from Bosiljevo to Rijeka . This route is approx. 80.7 kilometers long and requires a toll. The motorway is part of the trans-European TEN corridor 5b .

Since October 2008 the entire A6 has two lanes in both directions, and all tunnels on this route, including a. the Tuhobićtunnel , are now two-lane.

The completion of the motorway meant a great advantage for transit traffic, as Slovenia has since been bypassed to the south and a direct motorway connection has been established from Budapest to Rijeka . This is advantageous because the port city of Rijeka has access to the open sea, while shipping via Slovenia passes through Slovenian or Italian territory and is therefore subject to duty. Travel time on the Zagreb – Rijeka route is around an hour.
