The Albtrauf Baar nature reserve is located in the area of ​​the city of Geisingen and the municipality of Immendingen in the district of Tuttlingen and the city of Bad Dürrheim in the Schwarzwald-Baar district in Baden-Württemberg .

The area extends north, east and southwest of the core city of Geisingen and north and south of the Danube .

The 365.6 hectare area has been registered under NSG no. 3.280 designated as a nature reserve. It is a richly structured mosaic of near-natural and cultivated areas, with excellently developed rough lawns , forest fringes, bushes , naturally forest-free slip slopes, near-natural deciduous forests and light, species-rich coniferous forests of various types.
