Aleh Sjarhejewitsch Jawenka ( Belarusian Алег Сяргеевіч Явенка , Russian Олег Сергеевич Евенко / Oleg Sergejewitsch Yevenko; born January 21, 1991 in Minsk , Belarusian hockey league from the Belarusian hockey league from the Belarusian Minsk , Belarusian hockey league from the Belarusian SSR May 2018, under the Belarusian hockey league under the Dinamo Minsk, Belarusian hockey league under the Dinamo Minsk May 2018 ) and plays for this in the position of the defender .
Career
Jawenka learned to play ice hockey in his Belarusian homeland, where he played in the junior department of HK Junost Minsk until summer 2008 . For the 2008/09 season , the defender moved to the German junior league , where he went on the ice for the Krefeld EV . The Belarusian then moved to North America and was there for two years in the United States Hockey League for the Fargo Force before he began studying. For this he enrolled at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and played there for the next four years for the university team in the Hockey East , a division in the game operations of the National Collegiate Athletic Association .
After completing his studies, Jawenka was hired on probation by the Adirondack Phantoms from the American Hockey League . For the 2015/16 season , he moved within the league to the Lake Erie Monsters , which traded as Cleveland Monsters in the following game year . When his contract expired in the summer of 2017, the defender became a free agent , after which he accepted a contract with the Stockton Heat from the AHL in September 2017 . After a season there in which he made 23 appearances, he returned to his hometown in May 2018 to play for HK Dinamo Minsk from the Continental Hockey League .
International
Jawenka played for the Belarusian national team for the first time in the junior division at the U18 Junior World Championship of Division I in 2009 . There he and the team succeeded in returning to the top division. He played for the men's selection at the 2014 , 2015 , 2016 and 2017 World Championships as well as qualifying for the 2018 Winter Olympics .
