A nna Andr e jewna Bogd a nowa ( Russian Анна Андреевна Богданова ; born September 21, 1984 in Leningrad ) is a Russian heptathlete .

Career

Bogdanova played her first major heptathlon in 2004 in Tula , where she reached 5251 points. In March 2007 she entered the European Indoor Championships 2007 in Birmingham and finished 13th with 4272 points in the indoor pentathlon. In the same year she was at the World Championships in Osaka, Japan with 6243 points tenth in the heptathlon.

Bogdanowa won her first international medal at the 2008 World Indoor Championships in Valencia , Spain , where she won 4753 points in the pentathlon bronze. At the all-around meeting Götzis , Bogdanowa took third place with 6452 points in 2008 and thus also won the bronze medal.

At the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008 she was sixth in the heptathlon, where she set up her personal best with 6,465 points. At the 2009 European Indoor Championships she won the European pentathlon title on March 6, 2009 with 4761 points.

At a height of 1.78 m, Anna Bogdanowa has a competition weight of 64 kg.
