The Ariake Gymnastics Center ( English for 有明体操競技場 , Japanese ありあけたいそうきょうぎじょう Ariake taiso kyōgijō ) is a multi-purpose hall in the south of the Japanese capital Tokyo , more precisely in the district Ariake the district Kōtō of Tokyo .

The hall, which was completed in October 2019, was built for the 2020 Summer Olympics and is expected to offer space for up to 12,000 people. The gymnastics competitions are to be held in the hall. The architects based their construction on traditional Japanese construction techniques. 2300 cubic meters of wood from all over Japan were used. According to the organizers, the gymnastics center will resemble a “wooden bowl that floats in the bay”.

During the Summer Paralympics 2020 , the arena will also serve as a venue for the goalball competition. The hall will then be converted into an exhibition center.
