The Tokyo International Forum ( English ; Japanese 東京 国際 フ ォ ー ラ ム , Tōkyō Kokusai Fōramu ) is a multi-purpose building in the Japanese capital Tokyo near the Yūrakuchō train station .

The Tokyo International Forum was in the district of Marunouchi of the district Chiyoda of (Engl. "Chiyoda City") Tokyo (Engl. "Tokyo Metropolis") on the grounds of previous Tōkyō tochōsha ( 東京都庁舎 German who, building Prefectural Government Tokyo ' , English Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building ) after it was relocated to a new building complex in Nishi-Shinjuku in Shinjuku City in 1991.

Facility

One of the halls of the forum offers space for 5000 people. In addition to seven other halls, the forum includes exhibition space, a lobby, restaurants and shops. It was designed by the architect Rafael Viñoly and completed in 1996. The ceiling is made of glass and has steep curves in the steel framework style. The outside of the building is shaped like a long boat.

The address is between Tokyo Station and Yūrakuchō Station.

On the first floor there is a bronze sculpture of Ōta Dōkan in the direction of the imperial palace .
