The Beijing – Lhasa or Jingzang Highway ( Chinese  京 藏 高速 , Pinyin Jīngzàng gāosù gōnglù , English Jingha Expressway ), Chinese abbreviation G6 , is a highway in China , which will connect the capital Beijing in the north after completion with Lhasa in the autonomous region To connect Tibet . After completion, the motorway will reach a length of 3710 km. A little more than half of it is currently passable; the highway ends shortly after Xining in Qinghai Province . Because of the altitude, the extension to Lhasa, as with the Lhasa Railway, is associated with special challenges. A roadmap for the realization of the building does not yet exist.
