The motorway junction Hannover / Kirchhorst (abbreviation: AK Hannover / Kirchhorst ; short form: Kreuz Hannover / Kirchhorst ) is a motorway junction in Lower Saxony in the Hanover region . It connects the federal highway 7 ( Flensburg - Hanover - Kassel - Füssen ; E 45 ) with the federal highway 37 ( Messeschnellweg ).

The motorway junction is located in the Isernhagen community south of the Kirchhorst district . The Isernhagen district of Altwarmbüchen is located northwest of the cross . Closest to Hanover is the Hanover landfill with the so-called Monte Müllo, the highest point in the city. It is located about 15 km northeast of Hanover city center, about 125 km south of Hamburg and about 50 km northwest of Braunschweig .

The Hannover / Kirchhorst motorway junction has junction number 56 on the A 7 and number 3 on the A 37.

Design and state of development

The A 7 has six lanes, the A 37 four lanes. The connecting ramps have two lanes.

The motorway junction was laid out as a clover leaf . A 7 the cross together with the AS a Altwarmbüchen double junction .
