The motorway triangle Hannover-Süd (abbreviation: AD Hannover-Süd ; short form: Dreieck Hannover-Süd ) is a motorway triangle in Lower Saxony in the Hanover region . It connects the federal motorway 7 ( Flensburg - Hanover - Kassel - Füssen ; E 45 ) with the federal motorway 37 , which in turn becomes the Messeschnellweg at the Hanover exhibition center .

geography

The motorway triangle is located in the urban area of Sehnde in the Hanover region . The surrounding cities are Hanover and Laatzen . It is located about 13 km southeast of downtown Hanover, about 20 km north of Hildesheim and about 45 km west of Braunschweig . The Mittelland Canal also flows a few kilometers to the northeast, and is crossed by the A 7 in the direction of Hamburg.

The motorway triangle Hannover-Süd has junction number 60 on the A 7 and number 12 on the A 37.

Design and state of development

The A 37 has four lanes, the A 7 has six lanes. The existing connecting ramps from the A 37 to the A 7 towards the south and vice versa are two-lane. The missing connections from the north will be replaced by the AS Laatzen ( B 443 / B 6 ) or the Hannover / Kirchhorst motorway junction .

The triangle was created as a fork .

The triangle is used by around 75,000 vehicles every day.
