geography

The wasteland lies on the Eschenbach (here called Gänsbach), which is a right tributary of the Erlbach , which in turn is a right tributary of the Franconian Rezat . Approx. The pilgrimage valley is 0.25 km north. The place is on the state road 2220 , which leads past the Sallmannshof and the Utzenmühle to Wolframs-Eschenbach (2.5 km to the west) or to Ismannsdorf (1 km to the east).

history

The place was mentioned for the first time in 1343 in the Salbuch of the Teutonic Order Coming Nuremberg in the description of the Eschenbach office as "Weidenmul". The defining word of the place name is the Middle High German word "wīde" (= pasture ). In 1440 a Heinz Melber was attested as the owner of the "Weydenmül". In 1504 the place was mentioned as "Melbers Müle". The defining word is the family name Melber . In 1683 the place was first attested as "Pöllersmühl". With some difficulties, two interpretations come into consideration: The defining word is the verb 1) bollern or 2) ballieren (dialect for polish). In the first case this would describe the particularly loud background noise of the mill, in the second case the use of the mill as a grinding mill . The form “Bölleinsmühl” has been attested since 1739.

Towards the end of the 18th century, the Bölleinsmühle belonged to Sallmannshof . It was also called the Spiegelmühle at that time. She had the city bailiff of Eschenbach of the Teutonic Order as landlord . Under the Prussian administration (1792–1806) of the Principality of Ansbach, the Bölleinsmühle received the number 1 of the place Sallmannshof when the house numbers were assigned. From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the Justice and Chamber Office Windsbach .

As part of the community edict, Bölleinsmühle was assigned to the Sauernheim tax district, which was formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Sauernheim, founded in 1810 . With the second community edict (1818), Bölleinsmühle was re-incorporated into the newly formed rural community of Reutern . This was incorporated into Wolframs-Eschenbach on January 1, 1972 as part of the municipal reform.

Today the mill is used to generate electricity.
