Studying at the BA

The course at the BA Gera was characterized by a change between theory and practice. During the three-year study period, the graduates were trained not only by studying at the vocational academy but also through professional tasks from leading practical partners. Over the entire duration of the course, the student received a minimum training allowance set by the state from the practice partner.

Course of studies

The course began on the first of October. The study duration was three years or six semesters. One semester is divided into twelve weeks of theory and twelve weeks of practical experience. At the end of each theory phase, the knowledge learned was tested in final exams or seminar papers. The practical phase took place at the training company.
