Biała Góra [ ˈbjawa ˈɡura ] (German Ballenberg, Kr. Belgard ) is a village in Poland that belongs to the rural municipality Rąbino ( Great Rambin ) in the powiat Świdwiński in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship . About 14 kilometers south of Białogard ( Belgard ) it is on the road from Tychówko ( Woldisch Tychow ) to Rąbino, north of the 140 meter high mountain called Dębogórze ( Domgohren Berg ).

history

Biała Góra was a Pomeranian village in Belgard County until 1945 . Documents from 1523 still know the old name Boldenberg .

Former fiefdom of the Zozenow family , Ballenberg came into the possession of Marx and Zabel von Wolde on March 1, 1694 . In 1713 it was sold to Kapsar von Sydow . After numerous other changes of owners, Ballenberg was relocated in 1935 and 1935.

In 1867 the village had 156 inhabitants, in 1939 there were 280. Most recently, 37 farms managed the Ballenberger Feldmark.

In March 1945, Ballenberg was occupied by Red Army troops. As a result of the war , the place came to Poland. The local population had to leave the village by 1946.

Today Biała Góra belongs to the Gmina Rąbino. Between the Mogilica ( Muglitz ) in the west and the Bukowa ( Buckow ) in the east, it is only a few kilometers to the Rąbino train station on the Stargard (Pomerania) - Köslin - Danzig line of the Polish Railway ( PKP ) and also to Tychówko on the Voivodeship Road No. 163 , which connects Kołobrzeg and Wałcz ( Deutsch Krone ).

church

Ballenberg did not have its own church. Until 1945 it belonged to the parish Woldisch Tychow in the parish of Belgard in the ecclesiastical province of Pomerania of the Evangelical Church of the Old Prussian Union . The church patronage was shared by the landowners of the parish towns. Ballenberg was last represented by the landowner Hermann Schmieden. In 1940, the parish had a total of 1,600 parishioners. The last German pastor was Alfred Bidder.

Today Biała Góra belongs to the Parafia (Parochie) Koszalin ( Köslin ) in the diocese of Pomerania-Greater Poland of Kościół Ewangelicko-Augsburski (Luterański) w Polsce ( Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland ).

school

The village school existed until 1945. Its last leaders were the teachers Otto Held and Walter Fulde. There was also a kindergarten in the manor's castle.

Attractions

The old manor park from the 19th century is well worth seeing.
