William "Bill" Lloyd (born July 12, 1923 in New York City ) is a former American racing driver .

Career

Bill Lloyd was successful as a sports car driver in the 1950s . He competed in the SCCA National Sports Car Championship with privately registered vehicles - MG T-types , a Porsche 356 and a Ferrari 225S . He remained active in this racing series until the end of his career and celebrated nine overall and 17th class wins.

He also achieved successes in the Sebring 12-hour race . After a fifth place overall in 1953 , he won this endurance race in 1954 together with Stirling Moss in an Osca MT4 reported by Briggs Cunningham .
