The Bremengrund nature reserve is located in the municipality of Au am Rhein in the Rastatt district in Baden-Württemberg .

location

The area extends west of Neuburgweier along the north-west flowing Rhine and has been designated as a nature reserve since November 18, 1986 under the identification number 2.093. It is bounded by the Rhine, the Auer Altrhein and another loop of the Altrhein (Judengasse). The state road L 566 runs to the northeast and the L 78 a to the east.

meaning

It is a near-natural part of the landscape in the floodplain of the Rhine with species-rich vegetation, partly due to the remains of the oaks - elm forest and white willow forest . Due to the island location, a diverse vegetation with species-rich fauna could develop undisturbed here in the past.
